Talk about a power lunch!

Time is money, and why waste it if you're not multi-tasking? If you're not on a mission to be anorexic, you may want to refuel with a quality meal. What's better than a nicely done steak (am I making you hungry yet)? Hollywood has many fine eateries that are frequented by the "sharks", and chances are you may be able to get down to business over lunch.

The Palm (9001 Santa Monica Blvd.) draws in stars and business executives alike; Tom Sherak, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is a regular. BOA (9200 W. Sunset Blvd.) is frequented by Jack Gilardi (ICM), Ryan Seacrest, Courtney Cox, to name a few.

So come with your appetite and your game on-if you're lucky, you may not get stuck with the check!

Gear up!

Are you really serious about succeeding in this industry? Do you have the chutzpah to hang? Or will you cry and go home to mummy? The industry is filled with wolves (the two legged kind) that can smell fear and weakness from miles away with a voracious appetite to not only injure or to scare the competition, they will mutilate you. This blog was created to inform you and arm you with tips for survival.

"Those who fail to plan, plan to fail."-Anonymous
Musicians and actors are similar in the sense of the amount of competition. Most are mesmerized by the glitz and glamour, and expect success to come quickly. Hollywood is, after all, built on projecting a facade. Always keep this in mind.

My advice to succeed:

Ø One must learn to approach every task as though it were great and noble.
Ø You have to make strong choices that move forward (calculate your steps).
Ø This career HAS to be your passion!
Ø You may have to make sacrifices just to exist.
Ø Persistence is key. Once you think you can no longer endure- just like the old high school coach would yell “ Its only a few more inches- you have to push through.”
